We sat down with Lisa for a brief chat, and here’s what she had to say.
Q.What are your personal well-being aspirations
A quiet and alert mind, lightness of being, a joyful, energetic body and a loving heart.
Q.How did you pivot Into wellbeing ?
I was initially trying to lose weight and soon realised that what I actually needed to do was heal. I spent time studying, learning and practicing techniques to heal myself and in that way not only did I lose the weight but I also found my purpose in wellbeing.
Q. What’s your favorite thing to wear in summer and who is your favorite designer ?
My favorite thing to wear is a maxi dress – loose, flowing and colorful.
Q.Which one are you ?
Tea/coffee ~ tea, I recently ditched caffeine.
Red lipstick or nude – red lipstick for a touch of pizazz and confidence
High heels or sneakers – sneakers for the win
Netflix & chill or cocktail hour – Most definitely Netflix & chill
Q. Top two travel destinations when all borders open fully ..
Besides the fact that we live in one of the most beautiful countries in the world, I feel like it’s important to support local industries so below are my top picks.
Beach – The Cape West Coast especially Paternoster. It’s quiet and coastal with some of the freshest seafood and best restaurants. There’s a nature reserve nearby, you can enjoy whale watching, kayaking, bird watching and wild flowers. A great place to rest, recharge and re-set.
Mountain – Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve and Wellness Retreat. (A National Geographic Unique Lodge of the World) surrounded by mountains, an outstanding spa, wild life and ancient African culture. If you need a lot of pampering, a little bit of exploring and a unique walk in nature, this is the place to go.
Look out for the first monthly column on the 27th September because if there is anything that 2020 has taught us, it’s that our health (body, mind and spirit) is important.
