New cover for new look Fashion Handbook

Presenting the first cover for the new look Fashion Handbook.

Our cover muse asked, “Why me?”

Well, Here’s why.

Words by publisher @leannetrcy

“When I first met Itumeleng sometime back in April, I had no inkling about publishing the fashion handbook. When that became a reality, my idea for the cover of the Fashion Handbook was to set a new tone, a new look, a new standard.

What I also knew was that Beauty as a topic would have a key focus. And I wanted the cover to carry a modern spirit of Southern African Beauty.

As an overarching theme SOLAR , as in the sun, its energy, naturalness, essential light etc, appealed to me, but it was the least of which led me to Itumeleng ‘Solar’ Baloyi.

Here’s what did.

Her quiet energy speaks volumes.

Her versatility is thoroughly modern.

Her focus on wellness, selfcare, and holistic health is the future of beauty.

She is not to be figured out, but rather to be sensed.

She is in tune, in touch, in love.

She breathes a new consciousness.

One that is mindful and joyful.

She is a creative, that inspires a new kind of beauty, embodied in the liking and loving of self.

She is a daughter of the Sun.”
