You might have seen SA Fashion Handbook’s latest offering, “Insta interview series” which consists of an Instagram Direct Message interview/conversation format. Hosted by our publisher, Leanne Tlhagoane, she separately interviewed a total of 5 South African fashion designers about their businesses and clothing brands. Each interview offered a unique experience about what it takes to be a successful local fashion designer and small business owner in South Africa.
After a fruitful round of interviews, we have wrapped up all 5 of the interviews right here:
In the first interview of this 5-part series, we spoke to the new kid on the fashion block, Lethabo Moraka, on her brand “Moraka Interiors“. Lethabo told us all about her unique and modern take on the kitchen apron, the “Monowrap”, her inspiration behind her outstanding designs and her brand’s future plans.
In the second part of our #instainterviewseries, we spoke to designer Judith Atelier on her brand that is 6 years old this year, the hustle and hard work it has taken to get here and advice for designers starting out!
