It’s a new year and I want to start off my first column of 2021 introducing a New York based designer I’m a fan of and designer to watch.
Fe Noel is a NY based contemporary womenswear brand designed by Grenadian Brooklyn designer Felisha “Fe” Noel.
Inspired by her heritage, the Caribbean island of Grenada, Fe Noel’s designs are colorful, vibrant, full of whimsical prints, and feminine. The label is known for its flowy, major wide leg pants and exaggerated balloon sleeve tops and has been worn on the one and only Michelle Obama and Beyonce.
“Eat Well, travel often, and dress to inspire!”…In other words, make life beautiful.
This is the philosophy behind the Brooklyn based, womenswear brand Fe. And this is exactly what I get from the brand. The flowy, colorful silhouettes are perfect resort wear.
Some of the brand’s most recent achievements, awards and collaboration include winning the Designer of the Year for ESSENCE magazine Best In Black Fashion Awards, making a debut at NYFW in February 2020, collaborating with Lebron James on his first-ever women’s sneaker and doing an African-inspired collaboration capsule collection in 2019 with NYC department store Bloomingdales for a pop up concept shop called Style Kingdom in honor of the Lion King movie
In addition to being a designer, Fe has established the Fe Noel Foundation to help young women who are passionate about entrepreneurship and starting their own businesses.
