Designer Silk Neck Candy

Eric Loubser likes to do things a bit differently, so for his submission for the 55Artists/55Necklaces show, held at the new gallery space at the Tinsel jewellery shop last month, he made an alternative kind of adornment for the neck. Working with photographer Sarah de Pina, he came up with an image using traditional jewellery materials such as cut stones and cameos, which was then digitally printed onto 100% chinese silk by Lucy McGarry of L’MAD. We think the result is quite breathtaking. There is a limited edition of 20 scarves, 90 x 90cm square, each signed and individually numbered, available exclusively from Tinsel at a retail price of R2,250.
